Verdict Due in Rio Paris Plane Crash Appeals Case The Paris appeals court will deliver its verdict on Thursday, marking the culmination of a 17 year legal process for families of the victims of Air France Flight 447.

The Airbus A330 crashed into the Atlantic during a storm in June 2009, killing all 228 passengers and crew members.

The trial has been protracted, with both Air France and planemaker Airbus facing charges of corporate manslaughter. Despite promises from investigators to expedite the case, delays have persisted.
